Recycle, Reuse, & Refuse Single-Use Plastics
We are sensitive to amassing waste and do our best to cut down on the amount of trash we create. With that in mind, we send paperless receipts, use compostable cutlery for all of our camp and dive adventures, and do not bag your in-store purchases in additional plastic bags.
Below are a few tips on what single-use plastic items you can refuse:
- Skip the straw: Politely decline the straw every time you are at a restaurant.
- Avoid plastic silverware: Decline plastic silverware when placing to-go orders, when traveling use your own reusable bamboo set, or dine-in.
- Decline plastic bags: Bring your own cloth shopping bags for groceries, clothes, or other in-store shopping items.
- Utilize Reusable Drink Containers: Fill your own reusable water bottle. Ask the barista or flight attendant to fill your own reusable coffee/travel mug.
